Why daily records matter
Farmers who keep records spot problems before it is too late: falling appetite, mortality starting to climb, or feed rising faster than growth. Without records, it all shows up only at harvest.
What to record
- Daily feed (kg): the basis for FCR and cost.
- Dead fish: gives the remaining fish count and survival rate.
- Weight sampling every 7โ10 days: gives total biomass, running FCR and the feed ration.
- pH and temperature if you can measure them, to spot patterns and check toxic ammonia.
How the numbers are calculated
- Fish remaining = fingerlings stocked โ recorded deaths (fish lost to predators or unseen deaths are not counted, so the real number may be lower).
- Biomass = fish remaining ร latest sampled average weight.
- Running FCR = total feed รท (current biomass โ stocking weight).
- Feed advice uses the same body-weight percentages as the feed calculator.
Privacy
Your records stay in your own phone's browser and are never sent to any server. That is why regular backups matter. The logbook shares its data with the Indonesian version on this site.
